The bentwood sofa recites our origins in a contemporary way. The sofa 2002 and armchair 2001 with a high recognition value are based on an airy bentwood frame that wraps around a down-to-the-floor lush seat cushion and forms the armrests. The filigree wooden bracket gives the sofa and armchair an especially lightweight look – they also impress as freestanding pieces in any environment. The sofa’s loose backrest cushions and side cushions can be individually combined.
Thanks to its reduced form and high seating comfort, the bentwood sofa is not only suited for private use but also serves as a social meeting point in modern office landscapes. The ottoman 2002 H reflects the volume and seams of the seat cushions of the armchair and sofa, allowing for the arrangement of entire lounge landscapes that create a dynamic and harmonious group picture.
The solid bentwood of the sofa and armchair is available in stained or lacquered beech or in oiled, lacquered or stained ash. The cushions can be purchased individually with a wide range of cover materials to choose from.

Designer
Christian Werner
Christian Werner, born 1959 in West-Berlin, studied industrial design in Berlin and Hamburg. After graduating in 1986, he first worked as an full-time designer before starting work as a freelancer in 1992. In addition to designing and developing furniture for various European manufacturers, he realises various interior design projects, e.g. for advertising agencies, apartments, stores and trade fair presentations. For both his spatial concepts and furniture designs, Christian Werner is seeking the suspense in simplicity. A reserved overall picture, balanced proportions and sophisticated details characterise his work. For him, design is a question of attitude, which is mainly based on a gut feeling; it is the expression of emotions through forms and materials.
